We started going through some of our stuff last night, deciding what we no longer "need or love" to discard before moving. We put the stuff deemed "needed or loved" in boxes. It's going to be a very busy month. We already came across some "memory triggers" reminding us that moving can be an emotional experience. The new house is significantly less square footage than we currently have so we must find a lot of things that we no longer "need or love." Unfortunately, hubby and I both tend to have pack-rat mentality. We both seem to think we might need it someday. I tend to want to hold on to the sentimental items as well. Something tells me the unpacking part may result in further discarding.

Hahaha, you're going through what we did back in October and November! We're in temporary quarters now while we build, but we will ultimately be living in 40% less space than our previous country cottage! Ack! We sold and got rid of a lot, but we fully know that we're going to have to weed out again when we unpack on our final move. Things won't fit and we'll be saying "why oh why did we keep THIS?" I know what you're going through and it's not fun!
