Photo Challenge--Circles

I've missed the last several photo challenges, but I am happy to be able to participate this time. I have seen so many circles all around me since deciding to play along with this weeks challenge. So it is always difficult to decide which circles to photograph and post. But here are my choices.

First I have a picture of some of the floral arrangements at my brother's funeral. He was a cowboy and so many of the arrangements included western theme articles including CIRCLED ropes. He loved roping and I have many memories of being "roped" by him while he practiced his "heeler" skills. For the non-roper, one type of roping is team roping where one person ropes the steer's head or neck and then the team member ropes their back feet (heels) and the steer is stretched out before being released. My brother was the heeler most of the time and so he would practice by throwing the rope at just about anyone's feet who was walking across the yard while he had a rope in his hand. When he caught someone, you could hear him laugh and the catchee's scream.

Next I have a picture of some sewing circles. Buttons, bobbins, and spools of thread.

And here's by collection of spendable circles.

Finally, my collections of significant circles. In this group is my hospital bracelet, by first ever birthstone ring, my mother's engagement ring, my 2nd birthstone ring, my high school graduation ring, my mother's ring with her grandchildren's birthstones, my husband's original wedding band (It broke so he got a new one), my wedding and engagement rings joined together, my 25th anniversary ring, and my family ring with our immediate family members birthstones.

Hope you enjoyed my selection of circles.

Glad to have you back in the challenge!

The wreaths are beautiful, and thank you for sharing such a sweet memory about your brother. Thank is my absolutely favorite photo of the group.

I forgot to take a pic of my buttons! I'm slapping my head here because it slipped my mind!

I love your interpretation of circles. I think I loved the story of your brother best though. And then to finish with the circles of your life. So wonderful.
