Photo Challenge--Food

Today's photo challenge is food.
My first pic is a patriotic dessert I made for a July 4th party in my Trifle Bowl.

Next is an edible arrangement that we had at work during tax season. These folks are amazing what they can do with fruit, etc.

And finally, is a picture of my last birthday cake/dessert made by a co-worker. Isn't it pretty?! And it was delicious too.

Studying

Yesterday I had a LOT of reading and studying to do, so I took my laptop and books to a spare bedroom and spread out. I was trying to get away from "family room" distractions. My furbabies all seemed to think I would not be able to study without them. Almost immediately both kitty cats appeared in the room. The dog was scratching at the door. The rest of the afternoon was spent with the dog trying to find ways to get in on the study party without getting scratched by or hissed at by the kitties.

You see in our house the kitties are the more dominant pets. Sam knows to respect Little Bit's space. She doesn't play, she'd dead serious about him leaving her alone. He only occasionally barks at her from a very safe distance. On the other hand, Panther is a little less serious and will SOMETIMES play for just a few minutes. So Sam pesters him and tries so hard to get him to play chase. It's quite entertaining to watch.

Before the afternoon was done, I did end up with all three pets on the bed with me and my books at the same time. I took a pic with my phone, but haven't transferred it to the computer yet. At least I didn't have to study alone.

Psalm 8

O LORD, our Lord,

I love this passage from Isaiah......

1 But now, this is what the LORD says—
he who created you, O Jacob,

I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.

I had a song I wanted to share, but can't find it on the web and can't figure out how to put it on here from my PC. It is in MP3 format. Any simple tricks? I read blogger help and it sounded too complicated for me.
