This is a brief follow up. This mom (who didn't even know his name at first) tracked him down through his employer. She has called him, written emails to him & her friends and even written a letter to his employer testifying about how much his kindness and compassion meant to her at a very difficult moment. And it turns out that her medical condition was not nearly as severe as originally expected. He usually does not get to find out what happens to the patient after he gets them to the hospital. AND today Stephen is going to the little girl's 2nd grade classroom to talk about being a paramedic.

What a wonderful story about your son and how proud you must be! Somehow I missed your first post about him - it must has been while I was self-limiting my computer time. I'm so glad to read the story about him now! Please give that young man a BIG hug from me!

Amazing for Stephen. I bet he feels like he is on cloud 9 right now. He sounds like a wonderful man. You did a good job raising such a good boy.

So my son went to the second grade class today. All of Mollie's classmates had written thank you notes to Stephen for helping their friend. I think he pretty much got celebrity treatment at the school. Mom had a really pretty candle holder and card for him.
What a touching story about your son and I think it is wonderful that this lady made an effort to acknowledge his job well done...you have every right to be proud. Congratulations on your award...you're sweet and you deserve it!
